CHIEF ILLINIWEK #1 ILLINI UNIV.ILLINOIS SAMPLE DECANTER

13-3/4" tall ceramic decanter made in 1979 by Goto of Japan for Old Commonwealth Distillery. This is a "sample" or "one-of-a-kind" decanter. It differs from the regular issue in that it has no "backstamp" (identifying print underneath) such as is on the regular issue and it still has the Goto sample identifying tag on the bottom. A-1 condition except for 2 china separations on the headdress. One is on the left and is visible from both front and back of the decanter. The other is much smaller and visible only from the front. Unless looking at the decanter closely, it is difficult to detect either separation.

CHIEF ILLINIWEK #2 ILLINI UNIV. OF ILLINOIS MINIATURE SAMPLE DECANTER

9-1/2" tall (375ML) "sample" or "one-of-a-kind" ceramic decanter made by Old Commonwealth Distillery to honor the University of Illinois' Chief Illiniwek. This decanter may differ from the regular issue in color (we don't have a regular issue to compare it to-but we do not remember the regular issue having as vivid a color) and does not have a "backstamp" (identifying print underneath). Since we do not have a regular issue to compare to, there may be other differences. A-1 condition.

ONE-OF-A-KIND COAL MINER #1 DECANTERS

Pictured are 3 different Old Commonwealth #1 coal miner decanters. The one in the center is the decanter actually issued in 1975. It is 13-1/2" tall and a limited edition. The decanters to the left and right are "sample or mock-up" decanters. They differ from the regular issue in that both are about 1/4" shorter in height, have different stoppers, different colored pails, and different colored shovels. The samples also have more contrast to them. We believe both of the samples to be the only ones like them in existence.

ONE-OF-A-KIND VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER #3 DECANTERS

Pictured are 3 different Old Commonwealth Valiant Volunteer decanters. The one in the center is the decanter actually issued in 1979. It is 12-1/4" tall and a limited edition. The decanters to the left and right are "sample or mock-up" decanters. They differ from the regular issue in that either or both have different facial features, helmet stoppers, lettering, size and coloring across front base. The samples have no back stamp (writing on the bottom of the decanter) and other subtle differences. We believe both of the samples to be the only ones like them in existence.

COAL MINER #2 DECANTERS

Miner on the left is a 13" tall limited edition ceramic decanter made in 1973 for Old Commonwealth Distilling Company. It is the second in a series of five coal miners. The miner on the right is a 12 1/4" tall sample (one-of-a-kind) decanter made in 1980. A signed letter from the president of Old Commonwealth states that it is the only decanter like it in existence.

$295 for both
